Why I love fondling data every day.
I am a graduate of International Economics (w minor in Statistics) from University of British Columbia. I love extracting valuable insights from data. Most recently I worked as an undergraduate machine learning researcher at Borealis AI, RBC where I focused on leading a team of data scientists to construct a deep learning model that identified distress from raw EEG signals. I’m currently seeking full-time opportunities.
Coming from a background in economics and science, I love connecting the dots between business goals, technical constraints and interpretability. The journey that I started with the aim of understanding the ruckus of financial markets changed me into a person who aims to create insights from chaos of the world.
I believe that the projects I have worked on have been the highlight of my journey. I have been influenced to constantly look for problems around me and solutions to them; these are the challenges that drive me to work relentlessly through sleepless nights for hours on end.
In an alternate universe - I find comfort and inspiration in outdoor spaces, I am leading the efforts to teach people to rock climb outdoors and volunteering at UBC’s Varsity Outdoor Club. I aspire to climb hard and find ways to use climbing to address environmental, social, and geopolitical issues.
Apart from this, I love experimenting with new tools, gym, outdoor recreation, sports, and reading books related to finance, data science and productivity.
Thanks for visiting 🙂
I like talking and discussing about data science, financial markets and new technologies in the market. I am also available for freelance and internship opportunities. Let’s catch up!
